The following hotels offer a limited number of rooms to dog owners. All indicated that they should be told in advance (when reservations are made and at check-in) that dogs will be in the rooms. These B&B’s are surprisingly affordable and at time of posting on our website, did accept dogs. To ensure there has not been a change in policy, verify that dogs are still accepted at time of booking. Also, please note that many of these B&Bs are furnished with antique furniture and linens. Therefore, it is advisable that dogs be crated in your room when unattended. There is a licensed restaurant, Lakeside Restaurant, at water’s edge. Boat rentals and swimming on the beach also available to campers. 15 minutes from The Farm. From Island Road to The Farm, go east on 7A, south on Cartwright West Quarterline to Shirley Road (Regional Road 19). Go west on Shirley Road to The Farm (at the top of the hill, beside the Orange Hall).
Springwater RV and Camping Resort Hwy 7A, Nestleton (10 minutes east of Port Perry/30 minutes from Oshawa) 905-986-0274 Full campground facilities, including a laundromat and convenience store. There is a large spring-fed swimming pond, volleyball and basketball courts and a baseball diamond.
