Upcoming Events 2007 AAC Sanctioned Agility Trials (dates are tentative) May 19 & 20 June 23 & 24 July 28 & 29 September 8 & 9 Premiums will be available here approximately two months prior to each trial. Winter classes start on January 27. 10:00 Next Steps: Classes will emphasize moving along with both training and handling exercises, including short, simple sequences. Weave poles and contact obstacles will be added to the mix. Groups and challenges will be tailored to participants' experience. Minimum Prerequisite: A previous beginner-level class at The Farm, and/or Who's Walking Who's Level I Agility class, and/or an equivalent course, plus good off-leash control. Familiarity with clicker training is strongly recommended. 11:15 Getting Better: Classes will emphasize handling exercises, including sequences of increasing length and challenge. Teach your dog to remain attentive while working away from you. Develop handling strategies to improve performance of obstacles within sequences. Learn how to increase speed safely and effectively. Push your strategic skills to the limit. Groups and challenges will be tailored to participants' experience. Minimum Prerequisite: Previous classes at The Farm, and/or Who's Walking Who's Level III Agility class, and/or an equivalent course, and/or competitive experience, plus excellent off-leash control. Details, Details Each course includes six weekly hour-long classes, to be held at an unheated horse arena about five minutes east of The Farm. Fee: $175 per course, payable to "Citizen Canine."
